Marienhof House
This house has a massive and confident appearance, created through the combination of fundamental geometric and color solutions. The simple composition of the building consists of two parallelepipeds placed on top of each other at a 90-degree angle. A distinctive feature of the project is the cantilevered terraces, which enhance the dynamics of the composition and emphasize the division of the building by materials. The color contrast between the black ceramic granite walls and the white plastered floor slabs highlights the horizontal extension of the building, ensuring a softer integration of the house into the natural surroundings. The load-bearing structures are made of monolithic reinforced concrete, thus expressing the desire to make the house as authentic as possible through the logical continuation of the hidden monolithic frame into the visible massive elements of the building. Clear principles of modernism in form and materials made it possible to create a contemporary house that does not seek to imitate nature, but rather complements it through contrast.
