City villa

City villa

This three-story private residential house on the outskirts of the city is designed to create a secluded living environment despite its urban location and the high density of surrounding development. The guiding principle throughout the project is the opening of interior spaces to the outside through extensive glazing, while at the same time limiting visibility into the house from the street and neighboring plots by means of balconies and walls extending beyond the insulated envelope of the building.

The formal design approach is rooted in the ideas of Constructivist architecture, where the character of the interior spaces is always expressed on the exterior through the number and proportions of windows. The facade is finished with a warm-toned plaster intended to emphasize the structural form and harmonize the house with the surrounding architectural context.
